Obituary for Antonio B. Centeio

Antonio B. Centeio, 90, of Brockton, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital. He was the husband of Edith Silva.
Born on December 11, 1927 in Fogo, Cabo Verde, he was the youngest son of the late Julio Centeio and Filizmina Miranda.

He worked many years with Walworth Manufacturing Company where he performed several task and made many friends.

He lived to take care of his family and worked tirelessly to do so. Aside of the love of his first country home “Cabo Verde”, he was most proud of his huge family. After retiring, his greatest joy was being among family and friends, sharing memories and making new ones.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Edite (Silva), his 18 Children, Simao, Antonia, Rita, Claudina, Irlando, Manuel, Raimundo , Alfredo, Nilda , John Oliviera, Christopham, Antonio, Sionira, Kety, Danielson, Quetiza, Denilson, and Luis-Antonio. Also survived by his sister Natalia and brother Alfredo. He has 41 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends in the USA and abroad. He was predeceased by his siblings, Quilda, Daniel DoSouto, Josefina, Maria-Santa DoSouto.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (Rt123) Brockton on Friday, June 8th at 8:00AM followed by a funeral mass in Christ The King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton at 9:00AM. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00-8:00PM.
