Aida M. (Colon) Gusman

Aida M (Colõn) Gusman, 77, of Brockton passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 surrounded by her family after a period of failing health.
Born April 9, 1940 in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico, she was a daughter of the late Pablo Colõn and Sofia (Colõn) Colõn. Raised and educated in Puerto Rico Aida came to the United States to New York in 1963. She worked for many years as a nanny.
Aida enjoyed cooking. She was a great caretaker, always willing to care for and help others in their time of need. Most of all Aida enjoyed time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Joseph Miro and his wife Olga; her grandchildren, Xavier, Amanda, Geovanni, Angelina, Christian and Junior; her great-grandchildren, Nova and Manny; her siblings, Fernando Colõn, Emma, Christina and Virginia; her nieces, Sonia and Zory and her close friend Carmen, who was there for her till the end. She was the mother of the late Angelo Velez and the loving companion of the late William F. Milian.
Following Cremation a Memorial Gathering will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Saturday, September 23rd from 3:00PM - 6:00PM.
