Keith S. McLearn, 47, of West Bridgewater, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at the Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital after a long and courageous battle with ALS. He was the husband of the late Kathleen J. (Snell) McLearn. 

Born in Weymouth, Keith grew up in Halifax and attended school there.  He was an Army veteran serving from 1986 through 1989.  He retired from Joseph Bragga Wholesale in West Bridgewater, where he worked as a supervisor for 20 years.  He enjoyed cooking, and had a talent for making pickles.  He enjoyed travel especially to the Caribbean, country music and doing a line dance with his twin brother to an Alan Jackson song.  What he enjoyed more than anything else was spending time with his grandson, Parker, who was the apple of his eye.  Keith was also a member of the Weymouth Braintree Elks.

Keith is survived by his daughter, Allicia Swain and her husband Steven of Coventry RI; his grandson, Parker Swain also of Coventry RI; his father, Robert McLearn and his wife Mary of Bonita Springs, Florida; his mother, Sandra Lorgeree and her husband Daniel of Halifax; his maternal grandmother, Helen Babb of Cohasset; his brother, James and his wife Pla of Quincy; his twin brother, Kevin of Weymouth; his sister, Kayla Walsh and her husband John of Halifax.  He is also survived by his father-in-law, Ronald Snell and his companion Linda Simpson of West Bridgewater; his sister-in-law, Nancy Snell of Lakeville; his brother-in-law, Thomas Snell and his wife Beth of West Bridgewater; his aunt, Patricia Carey and her husband Robert of Pembroke; his uncle, William Dowding of Alabama; his uncle, David Dowding and his wife Judith from California.  He is also survived by his Godson, Kaden and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Keith was married to the love of his life, Kathleen J. (Snell) McLearn who passed away in June of 2014.

Funeral Information

The funeral service will be held at the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont St., (RT123) Brockton on Thursday, June 29th at 10:00AM. Graveside services will be held after service at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 28th from 4:00-8:00PM. The Weymouth Braintree Elks will have a ritual service at the funeral home on Wednesday June 28th at 7:00PM
