Kathleen (Mahoney) Vacher

Kathleen (Mahoney) Vacher, 71, of Bridgewater passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home under the care of her family and hospice. The loving wife of 46 years to Aime Vacher of Bridgewater and known to her family and friends as “Kathy” , she was born March 9, 1945 to Clement W. Mahoney and Margaret (Eaton) Mahoney. A lifelong resident of Bridgewater, she graduated from Bridgewater Raynham high school in 1963. Kathy received her sacraments at St. Thomas Aquinas church, and was a recipient of the Marion Award as a girl scout. Kathy was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club for many years and for the past several years, a very happy, devoted member of the Saint Vincent DePaul Society.
Kathy loved being a homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In addition to her husband, Kathy leaves her children, Mary Ann Vacherweill and her spouse Mary as well as their children Matthew, Henry and Maggie; Susan Messenger and her children Danny and Kathleen as well as great grand children Adam, Christian, Elijah and Alayna; her son Christopher and his wife Vicki and their daughter Sarah.
She is also survived by a brother Peter Mahoney and Francine of Ivoryton, CT; David and Connie Mahoney of Daphne, AL; sister Ann and David Brazil of Bridgewater; sister Mary Leonard of Bridgewater; sister-in-law, Linda Mahoney of Oklahoma, and several nephews and nieces.
Kathy was pre-deceased by sister Sheila (Mahoney) Bowers of New Mexico and brother Michael of Ohio.
Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Wednesday, November 9th at 9:00AM thence to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater where a funeral mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at 10:00AM. Interment will follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery, Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, West Bridgewater on Tuesday from 3:00PM-7:00PM.
