Sandra Jean (Mansulla) Crowley
July 11, 1939 - February 26, 2017
Sandra Jean (Mansulla) Crowley, age 77 of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 26, 2017. Sandra was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Charlotte V. (Paulding) Mansulla. She was born and raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School in 1957.
She is survived by her loving companion, Joel Richard Watkins of Brockton, her three children, Edward J. Crowley, Jr. of Scituate, Kellie J. Manzone and her husband, Paul of Bridgewater and Karen J. Flanders and her husband, Albert of Bridgewater, her devoted sister, Shirley A. Rodenbush of Brockton, three brothers, Frederick A. (Teddy) Mansulla of Brockton, Gordon L. Mansulla of New York and Wayne M. Mansulla and his wife, Mary of Virginia. She also leaves her dear friends, Bernice E. Dermody of North Easton, Frances M. Canessa of Avon and Nancy M. Mansulla of Brockton, five cherished grandchildren, Luke E. Manzone, Jake L. Manzone, Colby M. Flanders, Cassidy N. Flanders and Cassandra R. Sullivan and many nieces and nephews.
Sandra was happiest at home where she would host many parties for her friends and family. She was an avid dancer, gardener and card player. She enjoyed spending summer days at the beach and winter retreats in the Bahamas.
She was a hard worker and could not relax unless she had accomplished something meaningful each day. You could often find her working diligently beside Richard, whether it was managing their business office or selling his published book at craft fairs. She loved traveling with Richard and they would often visit his family in Virginia Beach.
She was an amazing and devoted mother, who enjoyed helping her children with schoolwork, attending their extracurricular activities and volunteering for field trips. Sandra had extraordinary artistic talent, especially in drawing, which often got her in trouble with her children’s teachers for doing their many art projects.
One of her greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. Sandra, or Nana as she was called, could always be found at their many sporting events, dance recitals and school functions. She was devoted to them in every way and always had a sparkle in her eyes when they were with her.
Sandra was selfless and always willing to help a person in need. She was a true inspiration to all and a shining example of strength, courage and love.
