Erin Lee Manning
October 17, 1986 - January 10, 2017
Erin Lee Manning, 30, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully while embraced in her father’s loving arms and her mother snuggled tightly by her side on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Tufts Medical Center after a lifelong courageous battle with cystic fibrosis.
Born on October 17, 1986 in Stoughton, she is the loving daughter of James Michael Manning and Kristine Ann (Beal) Manning. Erin lived in Brockton until moving to Bridgewater in 1997 where she attended the Reads Collaborative Program at Bridgewater-Raynham High School.
Erin attended Mater Dei Adult Program in Brockton before becoming ill October 7th just 10 days prior to her 30th birthday.
She enjoyed traveling, riding on trains, recreational vehicles and going for ice cream in her 1972 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 4 speed muscle car with her family.
She loved musicals, especially Annie, Frozen, Wizard of Oz, and Little Mermaid. She also enjoyed listening to music on her IPod.
She is survived by her loving parents, James M. Manning and Kristine A. (Beal) Manning of Bridgewater; her grandparents, Frances (Rumley) Hooper and her husband Kenneth Hooper of Milton and Carolyn (Leonard) Parkinson of Bridgewater; her best friend on the planet, Miss Madison Keough; she is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the granddaughter of the late William McNutt and Kenneth H. Beal.
The family would like to thank her Cystic Fibrosis Pulmonary Care doctor, Dr. Scott Schroeder for the years of service in caring for Erin as well as the doctors, respiratory therapists, nurses and technicians of the Pratt 7 MICU Team at Tufts Medical center for all their love, support and care provided to Erin from her first admission on October 8th to her final breath on January 10th.
Her father James especially wishes to thank the MICU Team for allowing him to participate in her care and to remain at Erin’s bedside 24/7 the entire duration of her admission.
Additional thanks to Allison O’Rourke who faithfully performed chest percussion therapy on Erin on a daily basis and Dr. Michael Ward, Erin’s Chiropractor who provided Erin with loving adjustments to promote her posture for breathing easier and life in general. And to Bob Turpin & Eric Mills & Jim Nolan who built, improved upon and maintained Erin’s home for her comfort, well-being & happiness.

Funeral from the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater on Saturday, January 21st at 9:00AM. A funeral procession will depart Russell & Pica Funeral Home at 10:30AM for Erin’s funeral service at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 900 Main St., Brockton at 11:00AM. Entombment will be held in the family Mausoleum at Mount Prospect Cemetery, Bridgewater. Calling hours in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, WEST BRIDGEWATER on Friday from 4:00-9:00PM.
A life celebration gathering to be held at the Portuguese Holy Ghost Society 352 Broad St., Bridgewater at 1:30 PM.
